The A4 Series Twist-Lock connector — the plug half of the A4 interface — is supplied in black / white. The A4 takes the twist-lock concept and scales the housing up for larger handpieces. A wider body gives more room for the signal block and keeps the power contacts further apart.
It is used on larger handpieces and higher-power platforms that still use a twist-lock interface. Power and signal are separated inside the housing, and the keyed shell prevents the two halves from being forced together in the wrong orientation. It suits OEMs building a family of devices: the A1, A3 and A4 share the same locking gesture, so training and field support stay simple.
